It is not hard to see why public relations firms have been buoyant in recent years as public opinion and the media has rounded on corporates and individuals that have fallen foul of the rules. The value of public relations is never more visible than during a period of crisis and public relations consultants in the financial services industry have really earned their spurs and their retainers in recent years.
